I am pleased to announce that my schedule for May has now been posted to the schedule page.
I must apologize for my lack of streaming this week and for what is shaping up to be a lack of streaming next week too -with another gap coming in the middle of July. As many of you know, I underwent a change in marital status around summer of last year (the details of which I shall spare you). One of the unexpected benefits since has been the ability to pursue “plerk” (play/work), as Jessie calls it, streaming, blogging and podcasting about SWTOR with less interruption from that pesky little thing called real life.
Now, however, summer is upon us and my children have been spending more time at my place than usual, staying up well into my usual broadcast times. I am also struggling to adjust to being a single dad, and while I can hold my own, I often find that I am exhausted at the end of the day and with too little energy to game, let alone stream. That said, I have structured my stream schedule around when I can stream this month, and I have decided not to feel bad about the gaps. It is more important to me to be a present and active dad for my little ones anyway. So again, please forgive me my slower livestreaming presence this month.
In the meantime, I am not slowing down my other SWTOR media pursuits. We are recording episode 19 of Passionately Casual Podcast tonight, and the episode should be released sometime this weekend. I am also working on an article called Content Locusts: A Second Look at MMO Content Consumption (now posted), which reexamines what players are really looking for in MMO’s and evaluating BioWare’s KotFE experiment in light of it. Hopefully it will generate some good conversation.
As always, thank you for following me and for keeping up with my SWTOR pursuits. I have appreciated getting to be a part of this community and for the many friends I have made along the way.
