Thought I’d share some pictures from this year’s PAX South Bad Feeling Podcast meetup in San Antonio. Brian named it the “Hung Jawa Junket”, I believe. I wanted to attend last year’s but my schedule wouldn’t allow it. This year I managed to fit it in, so I drove five hours from Fort Worth to be there at Tex’s Sports Bar, hung out for three and a half, and then promptly turned around and drove another five to go home.
It was also attended by Eric Musco, Charles Boyd, and a few others from BioWare Austin, so it was fun to meet some of the official Stream Dream Team, as well as Chuck and Brian of Bad Feeling, and a host of others from the Unholy Alliance guild (cheers Alise, Oso, Kirk, Gem and Garande).
Anyway, here are the pictures!
When I showed up, this is what I saw. Everyone was in a big circle chatting casually. I’m pretty sure nobody recognized me and I stood there awkwardly until there was a lull in the conversation. Then I said, “Hey all! I just wanted to introduce myself. I’m Sechari.” Instant friends
Notice Charles Boyd in his full-on Jedi outfit. (I ordered Imperial Intelligence to keep an eye on him).
Eric Musco is quite the party animal…
…that is, until he got grilled by Alise. Then his movement was impaired by 90% for 45 minutes.
At some point in the evening it was time for some swag giveaways. Here, Chuck and Brian are holding a Shae Vizla statue. They couldn’t figure out how to abscond with it without getting their jawas hung, if you know what I mean…
As for me, I got my selfies in (this is an awful picture, I know, but who is to say Brian’s face doesn’t ACTUALLY look like that?)…
…and only later realized that the shirt I picked when I won the first (and easiest) question of the trivia game was a pub shirt (I blame Black-n-White).
Then it was group pics time! When I saw them doing the Orb of Power, I was all over it. I KNOW the orb of power. It was only later as I looked at these pictures that I noticed I was the only one actually doing the face. Everyone else was smiling. So there I was in the back looking like a tool.
