Serrocco, my husband and master, had decided to explore Wild Space with an Imperial Darth that I really wasn’t sure of. Given my past with the Empire and the Emperor, my natural inclination was to not trust this guy, but Serrocco had gone against my better judgement. I’d argued with him several times over this, but given he’s my master, I had to respect his decision at the end of the day.
Serrocco boarded the ship with the Darth fellow, leaving the rest of the crew and me to look after the ship. I always get nervous when he leaves, but I monitor his holo channel while he’s gone so I know what’s going on. That calms my nerves slightly.
Then Serrocco was ambushed.
My heart dropped, and all I wanted to do was to go help him. Doc was the only thing between me and running in after him. I know he can fight, but something happening to him without me being there scares me to death.
“Doc, you’ve got to let me go to Serrocco! I don’t trust that Darth, I’ve got to be with him!” I cry, hoping that I’ll be able to get past him to my love. Doc holds fast, and I can’t get past, instead listening to Serrocco’s steady fighting through the ship invaders. Occasionally, I try to get past Doc, but he holds fast, and the rest of the crew bad together to keep me on board. Eventually, T7 shuts the door such that I can’t get out. I head to the ships intercom to try and reach Serrocco to make sure that he hasn’t sustained major damage.
“Hey, love, can you hear me? I hope you’re alright…” After several tries to reach him, I get through and hear his sweet voice. Sounding alright, I want to head in after him to try and help. The pain in his voice is the only thing that stops me, sending me back to help with the rest of the crew, and the ship. His voice was the only thing that truly convinced me. If the pain wasn’t there, I would have killed the whole crew to get to him.
The whole flight, I cried. None of the crew dared come near me, knowing that I’d just left behind the love of my life. Knowing that he’d put together a great crew meant I knew they could pilot the ship back to Coruscant and get the word out about what happened. When they’d all cleared off the ship, I gathered my stuff and skulked off into Jedi quarters. Feeling the pain of leaving Serrocco, I hide in my quarters for a couple of weeks, before coming out and starting to search for him in the place we last knew he was.
Trouble was, no one knew where he’d ended up after we left…
